Oyster Hatchery
In 2021, on Maryland’s Eastern shore, a state-of-the-art oyster hatchery was built on a 70-acre site. Being one of the largest commercial facilities of its kind on the East Coast, the hatchery received a tremendous amount of attention and support from all over.
Scientists, surveyors, engineers, project managers, and many others, came together to help make it all happen.
Our team collaborated with The Army Core of Engineers, Lane Engineering, Becker Morgan, Whiting-Turner, and Ferry Cove management to provide drone services for tracking changes over time.
We helped everyone visualize past and present site conditions. This included turning drone data into maps and models for measuring and monitoring changes along its 2,000 feet of shoreline, multiple intertidal ponds, wetlands, native forests, and cropland areas.
Life Science Building
In 2020, when COVID-19-induced shutdowns swept the nation, biotech companies all around the world raced to find answers.
In the I-270 corridor, BioHealth Capital Region (BHCR), where around 140 premier life sciences companies are located, BIO @ 700 QO was reborn. The former electronics laboratory was purchased by Rock Creek and renovated by Coakley Williams.
Our team flew drones inside and out to document conditions and digitize the asset for virtual viewing.

Commercial Office Space
The King Farm office buildings offer a wonderful opportunity for companies of all sizes to settle into a new location. Their units were designed with efficiency in mind.
Showing all the various different options and locations that are available isn't always easy.
Or is it?

We were able to create a 1:1 digital twin model for the King Farm Property. We also made marketing videos for the three buildings, showing the spaces available for lease, and the amenities for each building.
Shoreline Mapping
The project's goal was to redesign the shoreline to create a healthy habitat for plants and animals.
Restoring the shoreline required the removal of the bulkhead.

Essentially, the bulkhead acted as a retaining wall with a steep drop-off. Similarly, this wall that prevented the hill from sinking into the water also prevented animals like horseshoe crabs from utilizing this shoreline for spawning. Not only was this shoreline an environmental problem but it was an eyesore to passing residents and boaters.

We worked with the U&A team to map the shoreline gradient and document the eroding cliff in 2D & 3D formats. We also provided aerial photography and videography services for a documentary showing the shoreline transformation that was filmed by Severn Media Group.
